Hazed & Confused Festival

This year as part of York City of Ale Week the House of the Trembling Madness are bringing you two days of amazing beer with their Hazed & Confused Festival. The trembling madness or Delirium Tremens (DT’s) as it’s more commonly known has been around since people have been drinking that intoxicating liquor. Their medieval hall has lived through times of hardship, the rear end started life in 1180AD as the first Norman house to be built in York and still that wall holds up the old ship beams above their heads, those beams sailed the seas over 800 years ago.

On the weekend of the 7th and 8th July people can see a massive variety of beer not only inside the ancient building itself but also at the rear of the pub in the courtyard and main building of the Belfry Hall. They will be cooking up a storm with their usual fantastic madness street food with vegetarian selections available alongside items like pulled pork and cracking BBQ wares. In addition to food there will be live musicians and other wares on show. If you are interested in actually playing or having a stall there do get in touch with them.

All entry is totally free!

Opening times
5.00pm Friday 7th July until Midnight
12.00pm Saturday 8th July until Midnight

Just look at this list of brews that will be available, it is truly a sight to behold and worthy of the delirium tremens themselves!
There are also opportunities to work this great festival, currently run in rotas Friday night / Saturday Day / Saturday Night plus kitchen shifts. It’s paid cash £8 ph, if you are interested get in touch with Ian at the Trembling Madness.
